Q Way Mark..

Despite having a slightly raised temp on wednesday night, the dreaded flu 'sides' stayed away and I was at work as usual on thursday. I felt pretty good today and even phoned work and took on an extra shift tonight. I've not been too busy lately and I knew it would be fairly easy going and lets face it, the bills dont go on hold while i'm on treatment.

Although the depression is now under control, i've not had the motivation to do much other than go to work. I think i've just been too physically tired to do anything. Even my posts have got shorter and less frequent than before and I haven't been keeping up with everyones blogs. I've made a few visits to the new Hep C forum and i'm very impressed, thanks to both Ron and Ben for all the work.

It almost passed me by this week, the fact that i've now reached the quarter way mark. I need these 'targets'. As I go through treatment this is when i can look back and see that if i've managed so far, stopping before the end would be such a waste. I'll also finish my first prescription of Ribavirin tomorrow. At the start of treatment I can remember thinking the bottle looked bottomless. I'd even worked out how many bottles I'd go through till i'd completed my course. I've actually forgotten now, and its no longer important.

My appointment with the nurse went ok on wednesday, other than my mind going blank at the time and forgetting a couple of things I wanted to ask. The nurse noticed this and reminded me that this can be another one of the side effects. I'll make a habit of writing things down before I go to the hospital in future. I suppose this is why I haven't posted as much, finding it hard to concentrate at times.

I want Pizza..

Hi Alan

The quarter way mark, splitting treatment into milestones is the way to go. Another 2 injections and you hit the third way mark.

Enjoy the pzza

Hi Alan,

Definitely relate to the Q mark, and the T (third) mark, and the H (half) mark - totally do the same thing! As Jonathan says, milestones help. Glad to hear you've been feeling pretty good. Hope the pizza is delicious! Sue

Hi Alan,
It seems only a coupla weeks ago that I reached the T mark. Wait a minute it WAS a coupla weeks ago and next week will be injection #12. Once you reach Quarter way the milestones come thick and fast. Of course having the marbles to count down (or something similar) helps too.
Glad your feeling well, sounding good too.
Speak soon
Wendy
